Republic F-105 Thunder Chief

The F-105 was meant to replace the Lockheed Starfighter as a long-range tactical fighter with improved maneuverability and handling, at the cost of less engine power. It was short lived in its role and was soon replaced be the more versatile and better equipped F4J Phantom from McDonnell Douglass.
