Caboose Car Coupler

The "hitch" of a deserted railroad caboose reaches outward as if seeking a hand to hold from another car on a distant rail. This watercolor painting explores the subtle variants of rusted steal and weathered wooden rail ties. Foreshortening is used to emphasize distance and space as well as to isolate the unique forms of the train coupler.
