English Electric Lightning

The English Electric was a British fighter/interceptor twin Rolls Royce jet engine military aircraft. It was used throughout the Cold War era in a multitude of configurations and campaign theaters. A super sonic aircraft, it was also a gas guzzler and soon after inception was fitted with larger capacity fuel tanks giving it a menacing, yet bloated appearance from almost any angle viewed.
