Abstractions Corner
I often use abstract painting to "reset" or cleanse my techniques, especially after a series of realistic, representational, or detail focused works. I am not an abstract painter as this is a level of artistry and craftsmanship unto itself, requiring years of commitment, skill, and inspiration. Rather, I indulge my aesthetic sensibilities by stripping away the constraints of recognizable imagery as a way of removing myself from my comfort zone.
